The BBD

Meet my BBD. I don't have kids at this time, so my dog is my world. Her name is Ireland, but we call her The Baby Booger Dog. Please don't misunderstand, it's not mean, but she was already named when we got her, and we really weren't sure of the name but didn't want to change it, so we tried many different terms of affection and ultimately decide on her nickname being Booger. Maybe that's because she liked to get her way and was indeed a big "booger" on occasion. She is my constant companion and partner in crime. There is nothing greater than the unconditional love of your pets. It still amazes me. :)

New York, New York

OK. I need some help. Joe and I are thinking about taking a trip to the big NYC and I am trying to come up with places and things to see and do. Anyone have any suggestion? Things we should really look into, things we should really avoid. I could use some help. Joe has friends that live out there, but, please don't get me wrong, they are mostly men. So we would probably be up for most things, however, Joe is kind of a stick in the mud when it comes to food. He doesn't branch out much, sticks primarily to Mexican or Italian or good old America cuisine. So please, send me some ideas. :)

Getting Started

I've followed blogs for awhile and just couldn't decide if I should try it or not. So we'll see how this one goes. I'm a crafter and I am always looking for new projects, so anyone happening to read this and possibly thinking of responding, please give me a few ideas. I stamp, scrapbook, crochet (kind of), paint, cross stitch, and so on. I love a good project, it keeps me busy and I think hand made gifts are wonderful. I'm hoping that my friends that have received things from me in the past agree. Here are a few things that I've completed, because I'm terrible about starting something and then finding something else to work on.

You'll have to excuse my photo placement. I'm still learning. The top picture is an Advent calendar that I've been working on for two+ years. I've had it a lot longer and my husband always said that it would never get finished. HA!! The next picture is just a couple of blankets I made for my niece's new baby, Luke. I just learned how to crochet last summer, so I was pretty pleased with those. Still having trouble with patterns though. The last few are cross stitches that I've made for friends' children. Not having kids of my own right now I have the time and I enjoy it.
